I happened to find to this product by accident.  Even as a mother of two toddlers, I'd never heard of giant foam blocks.  However after looking at the products and reviews of them the first thing I thought was, "they really look like fun."  I'm a little jealous that I can't buy adult sized blocks for myself.

As parents and caregivers we know that there is no shortage of loud and flashy toys available for our kids.  Those types of toys are so ubiquitous that it's easy to forget about the simple things that babies and children truly enjoy just as much, if not more.

I did some research on Amazon.com and overall reviews are very positive.  One reviewer actually brought a smile to my face with the story of how the blocks were made into a wall which the baby would then crash into with his stroller.  In the same review, we are informed that the now toddler-aged child still plays with the blocks but now he carries them around and builds with them.

Also from the reviews, I have determined that looks can be deceiving when it comes to the product pictures.  Before you buy make sure to look at the given measurements of the blocks not just the photos.  Some products have a way of looking much bigger than they are in real life.

Giant foam blocks are an example of an educational toy for babies. Some of these products are acceptable for children from infant to toddler age. Think of the opportunity for your child to play creatively while at the same time developing gross motor skills.
